Bella's First Quarter Spending

Bella finally finished totalling up all her receipts and was feeling okay about how the last three months have gone. She was able to stay on target with the grocery and gasoline, but the eating out spending was a different story. The weekly total was based on 14 weeks from January 1st to March 31st.

The grocery and drug stores were a combination of food, paper products, health and beauty and baby products (diapers, wipes, etc.). Bella is planning on trying to break down the receipts once she can find a spare hour, that way she can be fully aware of what she needs for food.

The Misc. Shopping category was mainly buying children's clothes on clearance in Target and the occasional household item from IKEA.

The eating out really got away, and it needs to be reduced to a $100. Bella has many excuse for why this happened (too tired to cook, were away from the house and toddler became hungry, blah, blah, blah). A lot of the eating out could have been better avoided with purchases from the grocery store to cover snack foods, and if Bella was too tired to cook perhaps The Husband, should have played chef.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and a great learning tool. Roll on second quarter!

Yeah we definitely ate out too much too. It is like a spiral.
