Stupid Tax - The $28 burrito,

The $28 Burrito

A few months ago, I found myself with the late-night munchies. It was a Thursday night, and I had less than $2 in my account, but payday was Friday. I have direct deposit, so I thought I could float the money by using my debit card that night.
Friday morning came, and there was no direct deposit made, but there was a paycheck in Friday afternoon's mail for the full amount. They said it was some sort of computer glitch.
Well, the check got there the day it was supposed to, after all, Friday was payday. But I couldn't deposit it fast enough to prevent the bank from slapping a $25 NSF charge, aka stupid tax, on my $3 burrito.
